The aim is to improve a student’s knowledge and skills through experiential learning in the form of games, exercises, and sensorial materials. This service is provided by the talented tutors were personally selected to be a part of our team. Areas of expertise include: Math (Foundations, Pre-Calculus), English (Reading, Writing), Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics), French, and Computer Science. Sessions are with a professional tutor with or working towards a degree in their area of expertise.

A mixture of the child-centred and humanistic teaching style of Maria Montessori and the structured phonics-based approach to literacy training, Orton-Gillingham, designed for students with dyslexia and other specific learning disorders. This approach is multi-sensory; visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile modalities are used to engage students and maximize retention of information while building a strong foundation in Math and English. Sessions are with a BC-certified teacher with OG training.

This approach is ideal for students struggling with emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, lack of motivation, self-doubt, shyness, and/or resistance to school. The aim is to address underlying negative thought patterns and process difficult feelings that arise in the moment. Issues include test anxiety, existential depression, stress, procrastination, perfectionism, underachievement, educational trauma, and more. Sessions are with a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

The ideal student is aiming to develop the skill of meta-learning and unlock their full potential by building consistent habits, routines, and systems. This service is geared towards students who could benefit from additional support with Executive Functioning and Study Skills, such as organization, planning, goal-setting, problem-solving, and time management. Sessions are with a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
