Dear Beloved Client,
As of May 19th, 2020, personal services are now eligible to return to safe operation. If you are considering our in-person tutoring services, below is an outline of our new policies, according to the most current information provided by WorkSafeBC:
1. All tutors are required to adhere to the following self-isolation guidelines mandated by the provincial health officer and the BC CDC:
Anyone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days must self-isolate at home; symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and new muscle aches or headache.
Anyone under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate must follow those instructions.
Anyone who has arrived from outside of Canada, or who is a contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.
2. If a student, parent, or household member has any of the above symptoms (fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and new muscle aches or headache), please cancel the session as soon as possible. The session will be credited with no penalty, provided that notice is given prior to the tutor departing for the session.
3. All parties involved (tutors, students, parents, household members) will maintain a physical distance of at least 2 meters whenever possible.
4. Avoid shaking hands or other unnecessary physical contact.
5. If possible, try to set up a space outdoors to conduct the tutoring sessions.
6. Masks and/or face shields will be worn by all tutors and is highly recommended for students and parents. Students must wear masks if 2 meters distance cannot be maintained.
7. Tutors will wash hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the premises. Students will follow the same protocol upon beginning and ending each session.
8. Students and tutors will provide and use their own materials/supplies.
9. The work surface will be sanitized before the session begins.
10. Please refrain from the practice of offering tea, coffee, water, or other food and beverage items to tutors.
11. All parties involved will take steps to minimize exposure to COVID-19 outside of the tutoring sessions.
12. Plans are subject to change and will be updated accordingly.
13. If at any point you have any health/safety concerns, please contact Hanh immediately.
We appreciate your continued patronage and look forward to continuing to provide excellent services under all circumstances. Keep healthy, safe, happy, and always learning!
Sincerely,
Hanh Nguyen
